About Me

I was born in Rapid City, South Dakota on August 13, 1980.  My family moved to Sioux Falls, South Dakota in 1994.  I attended Washington High School and participated in football, track, and newspaper.  I graduated in 1999 and attended college at Black Hills State University and graduated from the University of Sioux Falls in the spring of 2004 with a history major and a secondary degree in education. 

In the fall of 2001 I started coaching football at WHS while I finished my degree in education and was there through the fall of 2003.  The fall of 2004 I was hired at Hurley, SD where I taught K-12 P.E. & 7-12 history.  I also coached football, basketball, and track while I taught in Hurley.  In the fall of 2006 I left Hurley for Sioux Valley where I teach middle school social studies and coach varsity football & junior high track.

On August 19, 2006 I married my beautiful wife Keli in Brainerd, MN.  Keli is a third grade teacher at Central Elementary in Brookings, SD.  She also is the Brookings Swim Club Coach and the manager of Swim America Brookings.

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my wife.  I also enjoy hunting, fishing, watching movies and working out.
